Finger Style Ukulele Lessons
Welcome to the section on finger style ukulele lessons. Finger style involves plucking the strings with your fingers as opposed to using a strum. The technique is prominent in Classical, Folk, Flamenco, and Acoustic music. It is also heard in Pop, Rock, and Country as well.
Banjo Rolls - Fingerstyle
In this lesson we will be learning some fingerstyle banjo rolls. Specifically, we will be covering forward and backward banjo rolls. These fingerstyle exercises, while in the vein of Bluegrass, make great fingerstyle exercises in general.
Ukulele Fingerstyle Lesson
In this lesson we will learn some basics of ukulele fingerstyle. Fingerstyle is the technique of plucking or picking the strings with the individual fingers of your strum hand. This allows for more intricate piece of music combining harmony (chords) with a melody line. Ukulele fingerstyle often involve playing the notes of a chord individually instead of strumming.
